Events Manager
Summary:
Responsible for planning and successfully executing Member events
Duties and Responsibilities:
· The point of contact for event host from date of booking until event has executed
· Detail event with event host to be sure the event host expectations are met
· Offers expertise and suggestions on set up, menu and all details of the event
· Suggest upsells items to the event host to enhance the event experience
· Responsible for handling of deposits and payment schedules with event hosts
· Finalizing billing with the help of accounting and food and beverage department
· Responsive and professional communication with members, guests, coworkers, and vendors
· Creates BEO (Banquet Event Order) and diagram
· Puts together and distributes BEO packets to all departments
· Attend BEO meetings
· Effectively partnering with all departments in the planning and execution of events
· Ensures mansion is set up properly and prepared for all events
· Day of manages all aspects of the event and is available to event host until conclusion
Specific skills, abilities and qualifications of the Event Manager include:
· Strong organizational skills and high-level of attention to detail
· Must be able to work in a high pace environment balancing many different tasks
· High energy and outgoing personality with professional presence
· Previous experience in event management
· Ability to problem solve on your feet while maintaining composure with clients
· A Diplomatic team player able to foster relationships with Members, guests, employees, and vendors
· Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, nights, and weekends
Education and Experience:
· 2 years of Event Management experience for an upper upscale venue
· Bachelor's degree in hospitality, business, communications, or related field is preferred but not required
· Private Club experience is preferable
· Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and have had previous experience with event sales software and POS system
