Job Title: Payroll Specialist Location: Alpharetta, Georgia Type: Contract To Hire Compensation: $25 - $27 hourly Contractor Work Model: Onsite Hours: Part-Time (20 Hours/Week) Summary: We are seeking a Payroll Specialist to manage and oversee payroll functions while supporting day-to-day office operations. This role ensures payroll is processed accurately, on time, and in compliance with regulations. Responsibilities: Process payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, deductions, and taxes with accuracy and timeliness Maintain payroll records and prepare reports for management and audits Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws Manage payroll updates for new hires, terminations, and pay rate changes Prepare and upload 401(k) contributions and ad hoc payroll reports Serve as the primary contact for payroll-related inquiries and issue resolution Support office coordination and administrative functions for the Alpharetta office Identify and recommend improvements to payroll systems, procedures, and software Provide documentation and support for internal and external audits Perform other related duties as assigned Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field 5+ years of payroll or office management experience Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, wage laws, and compliance requirements Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; Paycom experience preferred Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to maintain confidentiality System One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé, ALTA IT Services, and Mountain Ltd., are leaders in delivering outsourced services and workforce solutions across North America.
