Our client is seeking a Payroll Specialist for a long-term contract opportunity (with possibilities to go permanent) in Colorado Springs, CO. DUTIES:Processes payroll; summarizes, examines, posts, verifies, and reconciles payroll data. Maintains annual and quarterly payroll reports, including a complete record of payroll transactions. Coordinates calculates, and posts adjusting entries to appropriate subaccounts as approved by supervisor. Reconciles reports including, but not limited to, taxes, retirement, and vendor accounts. Recommends, prepares, and documents changes in payroll processing procedures QUALIFICATIONS:Candidates must have previous payroll experience (not necessarily ADP) 5+ years is preferred. Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) is preferred but not necessary Knowledge and experience of payroll processes, laws, and taxes.
