Job Description

A part-time Spanish Interpreter is needed to support psychological testing in a K-12 school setting located in Elkhorn, NE. This contract position spans the current school year (CSY), providing essential language assistance to ensure accurate communication during the evaluation process.

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate clear, accurate interpretation between Spanish-speaking students, families, and school personnel during psychological assessments and related meetings
• Translate verbal and non-verbal information in real-time to support effective testing and communication
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards during all interpreting sessions
• Collaborate closely with psychologists and educational staff to ensure smooth communication
• Assist with document translation as needed

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Foreign Language Interpreter with fluency in Spanish and English
• Familiarity with psychological testing terminology and procedures preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to maintain professionalism in sensitive and confidential situations
• Prior experience working in educational environments is a plus
